Really impressive, the skulls are killer. What do you use for groundwork before you start painting? A pencil sketch of do you go at it?

If you dont do this already: What I really like to do is set up my water color portraits like I would a tattoo stencil. Like how Andy Engel does just as an example (sime people do stencils pretty barebones). Use a 2h or 4h pencil and once you start doing the water itll stay like a stencil and gradually dissappear like one. blobbing in the spatial areas with the pencil before hand is like easy mode to place your colors and regulate depth and shadows. Your technique is super good already but I thought youd like the tip to play around with.
