    Thats the old style gen8 , the new one allows for clip cord and RCA connection as standard

    Nope, that's actually the new one. The cut back with the included adapter (which is pretty slick).
    I like that they have an adjustable and a fixed hard hit now too.

    Yeah, they said the motor shaft on the new machines is pretty heavy duty so it doesnt need the extra piece over the top to stabilize it... makes the whole thing more compact

    sorry my bad - I saw another user posting the old model next to the new shape and I just assumed they were the other way around... got my facts confused because it looks backwards engineering, just my opinion though. They brought out something more better looking in the first model in my estimation and the oval shaped text embossing looks cheap.

    I bought one. I own the first gen 8 and now the adjustable cutback. It's way more silent and more compact. I love it. I actually think it is the best rotary i've ever used. I simply can't put it down. I now use the whip and my 2 gen 8. Anyone keen to trade my bishops for gen 8 let me know......
