    Thing 1 and Thing 2

Hey guys, just thought I would share what I built/completed this past weekend. Thing 1(left) was the end product of previous failed incarnations, which it still has facets of. They both feel good in the hands and were fun/migraine-inducing to build. My girl said they look like ray guns from the '50's.

I like the way Thing 1 looks.

    Neat.

Have you tried to put a rubber band on the back of the a-bar on T1 and see if it makes any difference? Kinda like the stay up spring function but rubber band.. I have totally lost the name for it, I haven't got my morning coffee yet.

Keep it up, I like that rough industry garage feel you got going there.

Originally THING 1 was equipped with o-rings, one in the front(in place of a drive bar) and one in the rear. Both were balanced to give a seesaw action, but I had to scrap it. The o-rings worked perfectly for about 30 seconds until they stretched out to far and the A-bar clattered against the housing. I was trying to compensate for the yaw that occurs with the A-bar/cam system.

Did this little monster this past weekend. Used it yesterday for 9 hours lining and shading and it worked perfectly. Weighs 4.3oz
