You put it around the top of moving abar unit down to the frame-this counter acts the back push tension of the carts to keep the abar unit level and hit at the max set stoke properly.

what happens if you run cartridges without the rubber band in place?

The magnet does replace the need for elastic bands. I only use ttch though. Cheyenne may not work as well, but since the magnet mod it's way easier to use carts. Literally just put your plunger bar on and put your carts in, no elastic bands, and your good. I'm sure by the way this one is designed with the stroke adjuster at the top and pushing force downwards, you could also use Cheyenne cartridges as well with no need for bands, because the magnet can be adjusted to counteract the pressure in the cart from the top.

Thanks jasonadelinia! Now I'm hyped, wanted one so bad but then I heard all the things about wrapping rubber bands, and several mods and got scared a bit in all honesty. Didn't know if,with wrapping the band's if it would have consistent hit force for carts, like Isaid just got a bit scared. I know it's not a big deal but I'm extremely ocd about certain shit. I'm really into the aesthetics of a machine, it's more a personal preference than anything. I like the dial on top for adjusting force, has me intrigued all over again!
