Two Ways to Upload Pictures to a Thread

So, you want to post some pictures of a machine, your favorite pigment trays, most hated cleaning product etc. Here's how I do it:

Start off by posting a thread.

To add a picture from a folder on your computer, click on the "Attachments" icon (it looks like a paperclip). Click on the paperclip, not the tiny little arrows:

A window will pop up. first, click "add files" then click "select files":

Size:	61.1 KB
ID:	60

Choose the files from your folder (i picked one, but you can choose up to 5), then click "upload files":

Size:	35.7 KB
ID:	61

Make sure the files you want are in the "attachments" window. If they are not, drag and drop them there, then click "done":

Now, type whatever text you want in the field (if you haven't done so already) and to add your picture(s), click your cursor anywhere in the typed field that you want the picture to go. Then, click on the arrows in the attachments icon again (they're really little). Choose your image(s) from the "manage attachments" list.

They will pop up in your typed field and say 'attach' in brackets with a number in the middle. Voila! Now, don't forget to type tags relating to what your image content is (so that someone can search for it at a later time if they or you need to). Finally, "Submit New Thread" and you've just made a post with photos in it!

Alternately, you can hotlink pictures right off of the internet, or if you have already uploaded something to your album on Rotary Tattoo, use THAT url to post pictures in a thread using the "Insert Image" icon.

Keep in mind, if you are responding to an existing thread, you won't see the paperclip icon. You'll only see that if you are the thread starter. If you are responding to something, you'll have to use an IMG code from an uploaded picture in a photo hosting site such as Photobucket, Tinypic, Imageshack etc.
    I hope this helps.

Save the images as smaller jpegs, we pay for the space this site takes up right now and have a limit to what we can hold or it will cost alot more than what we are currently paying.
