Help with disposable grip adaptors for Hawk?

Ive ordered Bishop's and TatSoul's disposable grip adaptor for Cheyenne Hawk and both don't allow enough needle hang- barley any. Im not sure if I can easily replace the Spirit's push bar? Any "how to" help appreciated.

I had cut down a needle bar, then took the red cap and fitted it onto the longer bar I made. I had the same issue.
