    Spektra Direkt vs Halo help

Hey guys, quick question. So,I am in love with my Spektra halos. For me, the best rotaries I've used imo. Well, I just got a Spektra Direkt and I was wondering how it compares to the Halo. I was under the impression that the Direkt isn't good for soft shading, blends or for realistic styled tattoos ( portraits etc ). And that the Direkt is more better suited for solid color, and traditional work. I haven't got to use it yet So I was hoping someone could shed some light. I'm working with a couple of artists to.evolve my skill and grow into realistic tattooing. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you all and have an awesome day

I use my 2 direkts for everything. I've never used a halo. But I don't like too many adjustable options on a machine. It's about how you use it I suppose.

I prefer to do realism shading with zero give and a shorter stroke. I have used Halos almost exclusively now for 3 years and primarily do realism tattooing be it color or bng and now am using the Edge X with zero give most times.

The spektra direct is great for realism,,and I think once you get the hang of it you will like it more than the halo's,

Both machines will do anything, you may just have to adapt to the Direkt if you use give with the Halo. I use my Halo and HM direct drive every day, the DD will do soft B/G at 2.5mm or solid colour at 3.5 ish, the Direkt will be the same depending on how you work.
