If used properly, bagged properly, and common sense with cleanliness and using carts that are sealed, I don't see any issue with them. Now if you used unsealed carts, don't back them in a certain manner or wipe them down, then sure, totally can see where your coming from. People just need to use proper things with Cart machines and use common cleanliness with them.

I guess my issue with a closed style machine is how do you clean the inside of it? I mean it's impossible? It's the same reason condoms are only 99% effective theirs always that what if.. I just couldn't live with that

its the same as coils, you cant medacide wires and such, this goes along with bagging a machine.

i know there are debates on bagging machines too.. it would be the same subject matter with saying we should take apart a coil after every tattoo, springs, etc.

Why is this all of a sudden such an issue when tattoo machines have been spraying themselves with bio coming back up the tube for literally hundreds of years now. I don't care if the cart is sealed not sealed defective or perfectly made, in any case the amount of blowback is exponentially smaller than in a traditional coil machine. And if anyone answer to this is "but I wipe my machine down after every tattoo" save yourself the time now and don't bother.

I don't disagree with coils being disgusting as well.. But why not take that all out of the equasion and use a machine you can clean easily after every tattoo

All machines are sealed in one way or another the only thing we can do is auto clave and medicide as best we can to prevent cross contamination from client to client if your not cleaning your machines after every use your lazy even so called sealed machines or working parts of coils need to be cleaned after every use rant over
