    Cheyenne hawk thunder

I did really well this Christmas and was gifted a Cheyenne hawk thunder, well chuffed .

Started it up and all seems good but...

..I'm using it on my eikon and it seems to have a quick burst of power before it runs at the voltage that I set it to. This is on every press of the footswitch.

Has anyone else experienced this? If this is normal I'm totally cool with it.

Its the kick start cable that does it when you press the peddle, I taught there was some thing wrong with mine when I received mine but the hawk needs the kick start with the cable so that is the burst of power

Thanks AC, I have tried it without the kick-start cable, just using the standard one and it seems to run quieter and obviously there is no power burst.

Is it necessary to use the kickstart cable or is it there just in case your power supply is baba?

The kick starter is for power supplys that don't have the juice to run the machine smoothly,,if yer power supply is working fine on its own then yer good,,
