    Question about Hawk Pen users

Hi guys.Does any of you Hawk Pen owners use different than ''Cheyenne Cartridges''?
I just got my Pen today, and haven't used it yet. I've got few brands of cartridges, but I notice that you can't take the Pen apart.
So it's basically impossible to sterilize the push rod inside,as we wall know that EZ,T-Tech and other brands leak out sometimes, even though you dont keep the machine upside down.
I'm curious how you keep yours sterilized. Thanks in advance

The pen is not impossible to take apart . just difficult the first time because of glue . there was a guy on here with the hawk pen failure the thread is called he provides detailed instructions on disassembly . there were no pics I believe but it would be great for someone to show that. I believe the orange part unscrews counter clockwise then the two halfs above from each other. Would be cool to get that tutorial going

I bought one and took it apart...It's a pain in the ass and you have to be extremely careful not so scratch the body or warp it with the vice grips.

So after you take it apart it isn't easy to twist off the orange part of the grip. Since its already been removed and had the "seal" broken and expose the inner chamber like a stylus sort of ?

This is what you're looking at after it's apart. The threading is extremely fine and easier to screw up. Also, the actual drive pin, I have no clue how that comes out so even taking it apart as far as this, you still have more tearing to do to sterilize it. This is why I don't use this machine.IMG_9967.jpg

Thanks for your replies guys.@Butternuts-Did you open yours by just using vice grips and anti-slip drawer liner?

Anti-slip liners and masking tape. Still was a pain in the ass.

Ok, thanks a lot. I don't think I will try that, so I'll maybe just sell my pen to someone that would enjoy it better
