got to use one for a couple of weeks and it lined amazingly. the rubber band size and were the hell to put it sucked. the adjustment screws for the throw and give are an amazing idea but needs a self locking set screw.. watched the front screw back out during a tattoo. and the tube vice needs to be completely redesigned. loved it otner than that. just an honest opinion to hopefully improve your product..

i have an older rotar and i was wondering if there is anyway to switch up the bodies. i love the machine dearly but i use disposable tubes and even after workin the old tube vise it takes so long to setup that its been getting used less and less. i hate to sell it

Nin is apparently producing now the first batch of Rotar Shift3s. He mentioned last we heard from him that he'd be voluntarily replacing, free of charge, any older Rotar for a new one when he has them ready. The shift2 has some definite quirks quirks, tube vise and sloppy slider and adjustment screws. The new version addresses these issues I hope with resolution. The new vise is still a twist nut but at least it's reversed sex (more like a Neuma) so should be easier to work. Not sure if he changed the diameter or pinch variables. The adjusting knob is easier to use and spring loaded. Looks more solid too.

Yeah, it was supposed to be May. Now it's "Hey sorry, please be patient."

I don't know how he could give away free machines to used aftermarket buyers and stay in business.
He would lose a lot of money. Maybe to the original buyer/owner as a trade in -in which he could sell the originals at a low used price after a refurb.
