    Ego R12 motor?

So, my R12 seized the other day. Looks like it bound up on the grip I was using. It snapped the give holder at the end of the drive bar (which I fixed pretty easily). Today I went to test it out and the light turns on but nothing else. I emailed them on the team ego website over a week ago about the drive bar but never heard back.
Anyone know what type of motor these use or how to get the cover off without damaging it? Thanks in advance.

I would say its the same motor as the flitev2 the way the plastic is molded.

Thanks. I wonder if it's the exact same, though. Because my flite is a friggin' tank. That motor feels a lot stronger than the r12.

    Thanks, Randy.
Still no word from them about sending it in for repair. I really don't want to tear it open and replace the motor myself. But the alternative is a $500 paperweight.

When I had an issue with my ego I wrote Bez directly and he said

"Hi email [email protected] and he will sort you out"

I did and he did, so maybe try that email.

Thanks! I used the email they posted on their Facebook page. I'll try that one today.

So, I emailed Simon about replacing the motor and it's been two weeks and several emails of vague answers.
He told me they could replace the motor for 100pounds. But didn't and still hasn't told me where to send the machine or the money.
So far, I'm pretty disappointed with their communication and service dept. Maybe I'm spoiled after dealing with Dan Kubin, Swashdrive, FKI and Neotat. Because whenever I've had a question or problem with any of their machines, they've been prompt, professional and have stood behind their products.
Still hopeful they'll come through. But pretty aggravated right now.

Thanks, Owlsden. I think it may be sorted. Will post updates as I get them.
