Inkjecta Flite V2.1 combo tube options

If using the flite combo model with the darklab screw on adapter do I need to swap out the flex bar? Or can you just slide the tube up or down to adjust the protrusion of the needles? I'm about to order a Flite V2.1 and am going back and forth between the combo or vice model.

I wouldnt go with the vice model. I had one and in the end it cracked the plastic at the vice. I ended up buying a combo body from them and did a swop over.

My vice model has been perfectly fine for over a year of full time use. My only quarrel is that the thumb screw is a little small so turning it can be tough sometimes.
