Aviation painting-absolutely nothing to do with tattooing!

Here is a painting I recently finished, using acrylics. It measures 100cm x 32cm. It's not for everybody, but it is something I'm getting into doing and I reckon you guys here should be pretty unbiased. Shoot away!25-1-10 012.jpg

NICE! I like the relatively simple color palete. The textures look really convincing! You really crammed lots of detail into something that size! Awesome!
Not too bad for a GIRL, eh?

Really nice painting, I like the simple color pallet as well, but feel like the dirty yellow color being in the back ground foreground and just about every where makes it flatter then it would be if the colors in temperature changed just a hair more. I hate giving a critique on something that is so obviously good but I know I always appreciate them. Really dig it!

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The whole point of putting the pic up is to get honest opinion, really! I've been staring at it, reworking, staring, reworking but... I agree with the "flatness", but the references all pulled the colours like this and I had to call it a day. The yellow is the major problem i guess, but seeing the image on my monitor as it's set up the blues are too bright in the foreground as well. All input is appreciated, sometimes you get too close to a picture to see the problems, cheers.

Orange in the blue? Hadn't considered that, are you thinking wash or mix?
