Good (amusing) find!! Haha.. new brushes and magnets inside too!! Why not just say 'new motor'? And custom Swash sharpie labeling.

Spoonertattoos, I know. Now that FK has confirmed it is a swash, I thought it'd ba a cool addition but just ugly as hell. Even to just sit around.
Wonder if I could re-powder coat it. Just to have it for my collection?

Yeah definitely an original Swash, since the 2nd Generation looks kinda the same (differences being stamped, body slightly more streamlined, different vise, different posts). I wouldn't bother if I were you. Body as is, is it's OG look.. it's the motor that's been painted (looks like it was hand painted, since some got on the wires as well). Also if he said the brushes and magnets were replaced, that's a flag right there. Even the makers (Tony?) didn't build the motors... so I wouldn't trust that. If you buy it, strip it down and replace the motor with a brushless one that'll be an awesome piece!

Hopefully Tony catches this thread he can maybe give some insight to what particular vintage this swash is.
