Plug it into a power supply and see what it does.

I did just now.. it sounded really fast, like a dentist drill on 4 volts.
i would guess it has a high rpm.. i have tried to find specs on this motor all over internet but with no luck at all regarding volts and rpm.

Its an RC truck motor from the 1/16 Traxxas Slash racing truck... its designed to run on a 7.2 volt battery pack can't find any real specs other than what I've cut and paste below but, seeing as its and 18 turn motor (stock motors are 27 turns) and used to run a 4X wheel drive its likely it will be high torque & high RPM and not really suitable for tattooing.

    Titan 380 Motor Specifications
    Turns: 18
    Motor Wires: 16 Gauge / 40mm
    Connectors: Stealth Bullet
    Length: 44.7mm (1.8")
    Diameter: 27.65mm (1.1")
    Shaft Length: 9mm (0.35")
    Shaft Diameter: 2.3mm (0.09")
    Input Voltage: 7.2V Max

    Hope that helps.

Ok, thanks for the info, it really helps.
What would you consider to fast/to high rpms for tattooing?
I want to build a high torque machine, but how much torque,nm is to much?
    Thanks again for the info!
