Deakon, that is exactly what should be done. So, what exactly should we ask for? (A) clipcord and RCA connection at the back of the motor. (B) The threaded armature nipple-slotted ,so you can thread the loop through, longer ,so you don't have to completely take the nut off,and slightly thicker simply for strength (C) basic aesthetics, i.e, a better thumb screw and maybe some addonising to the frame.

This is what needs to be done,if anyone can think of anything else please add to this post so Deakon can proceed.

I dont own one yet but until these these things get done i will not buy it(and I do want one)The nipple area is a major design flaw and should have not made it in production that way. Also on the upgrade you could have a metal thumbscrew with a teflon ball press fit in the end so it don't mare your tubes.

All the other items such as color, rca, fancy thumb screws etc could be considered up grades to make it look nicer & be more sturdy.

1.So I would say fix the nipple area on all of them.
2.Offer a bit higher priced model with all the bells and whistles(thumbscrew anodizing, rca, motor cover etc.

instead of slotting the armature, if they just lengthened the frame a bit, you could reverse the block so the armature nipple (screw) would be to the back of the block and a regular needle bar would fit...

P.S. I have one and its my favourite machine..I'm customizing mine now and its almost ready to post pictures of

I like the idea with the extended block as you could use hard or soft gromments to get a bit of give if you wanted-would not be much tooling involved also you could keep the short compact body.

Really like the idea of extending the block too, but need to source some sort of clip for the needlebar a la neotat/bishop.

I was thinking the same thing. you could put the needle bar clip where the old armature screw was...

so just slot the old holder and extended the block with the new solid pin.
