Vivace is lighter.
Vivace is lighter.
My Roy Richardson direct drive is very quiet too.
Not too bad for a GIRL, eh?
I only have a neotat and treasure chest. The Neotat is quieter.
I am pretty certain that I am going to try and get a Neo Tat Vivace. I wrote Ray today and asked about shipping to Germany.
Out of the three Ive used, (Bishop, Org. Neotat, & my new one off) the Bisho and Neotat are side by side the quietest.
a direct drive is going to be the quietest. there is no friction in the mechanism except in the tube with the needle. they make good liners for 7's and below.
I prefer them more for 5's and below, but others swear by them for 8's and 9's.
everybody's hand's are a bit different, and can make or break the performance.
Yeah and I am on the fence about rotaries still. I don't have much experience with them. Well nothing recent. I used one a long time ago and there was a slight wobble to it. So I had to make all of lines moving left and right as the wobble would affect the line width. Now I also had never used a diamond tip back then and barely had a clue as to what I was doing. So I am sure my inexperience then had a lot to do with it. Now I have a lot of tattooing experience and want to try again. Last direct drive rotary I have used was in the 90s. Since I have played with a swash some for shadding, and thought it was brilliant but still felt like it was only suited for shadding.
there is deffinately more than an up and down motion that goes in to making a good liner.
Yes of course and I can see the benifit to a machine with an armature and spring as the action would be closer to a coil machine. What are the benefits of direct drive? What do your machines have that others don't?
