    Stealth Bearing sizes

So, I am a bit confused. Just started using rotaries after 15 years of coils. I love them so far, but the bearing sizes are confusing to me on the Stealth. So what mm bearing is for the long stroke and what mm is the short ect.?

Stealth bearings come in three sizes 2.0mm (shader/colour) 1.5mm (all rounder) 1.0mm (liner) Most folks go for the 2.0mm and use it for everything I did try the 1.0mm but it tended to snag the skin a great deal. the 1.5mm works OK and you can do everything with it. The stealth is Ok to dip your toes in the rotary ocean but there are far better machines out there for not a great deal more money.

Another thing to remember with the Stealth is that the 2mm bearing actually gives you a 4mm stroke length and the 1.5mm a 3mm stroke length etc.

That's exactly what I am doing with it, dipping my toes in. I already know I like it enough to have invested in a Stigma. So, this sounds dumb and bear with me, but The 2mm is the biggest bearing?

Yep and that will give the machine a 4mm stroke length.

And why does it get caught in the skin?

Several possibilities there I'm afraid; hand speed not matching machine speed or too much needle hang would be my first choices though.

Never had a problem with the 2mm or the 1.5 mm bearings snagging the only one I experinced it on was the 1mm, probably because I ride the needle rather than the tip so tend to have more hanging out when working
