I also stayed away from Rotar because of your experiences. Traded my Neuma for a Rapier 2 that should be arriving tomorrow. I'm super excited. Good to have firsthand accounts. Power to the forum!
Life is tough. It's even tougher if you're stupid.

Haha, sorry you had to. I would hate to be in that situation. I do hope they get it right eventually though. It is a cool idea for a machine.

My rapier2 is awesome as well, got to finally line with it today(only a 3"OM) and it's a pretty sweet liner, it immediately felt very predictable and comfortable and laid clean 1 pass lines. Could be a tad faster but I'm not sure mine has the faster 10k motors I got it in trade from Ross Lloyd.
Since you guys are talking about it, I'm still rocking my Rotar for color and shading mostly, but it's getting progressively louder despite my best efforts. Probably needs a new motor already, guess I'll just upgrade it to a Maxon and oh Damn I can't because it takes a flat can only;(
Well thats fucking lame, yet another thing to complain to Nin about changing/fixing... I guess I better stock up on a few $5 cheapo Mubachis...

thetattooedpirate.com is the website, but the Rapier II has been replaced by the rapier III.

Not to mention that the Rapier IIs came with a variety of motors. Try and get one of the earlier ones with the "fast" motor. I have no idea is the rapier III can line as well as the II
