Vivace over heating

I recently sold a vivace to one of my tattooists I took this machine in on a trade and never used it. My tattooist says that it has started to heat up so much its burning his hand, has any one got any useful info on these machines. It has also broken its return spring after two days work and I thinks he was running it at about 8 volts.

Shoot an email to Ray, they will get a return spring to you ASAP. for now remove the broken return spring, it will run without it in the interm. take the machine apart, clean it and lube it. There is a user manual on the website taptatdaddio.com. I will need to look up the user name password. I think its username neotat password user. If you can call Karen can usually walk you through troubleshooting it as well.
