15 years for me here and have yet to stick myself with a needle during the session (I have done it with clean needles will making heads though). Closest call I had was a run over my thumbnail when a girl jumped. Maybe I'm just careful with the tips, but I'm mostly with ASA on this one, for me they usually run better without, and aren't really needed and can put more stress on a motor for no reason other than to be a precaution in case the artist gets careless. I've only got a couple machines with them, one really just for looks, they other is my SantaMaria which came with one and I've henceforth been able to resist tinkering with too much, but it might come out soon. But hey if you feel like you need the stay-up springs then you probably should have em' cause you probably do.

As far as the Nedz I've yet to own one but they as I've often heard are great machines, well designed and well made. I'm not sure why I just never had the lust for one yet, maybe just the appearance is not my cup of tea?

My apprentice loves her Nedz. She's ordered an updated one, looking forward to the feedback about that one. Might be ordering one for myself with the upgraded motor.
