I was wanting to get the rapiers I already own engraved, but I'm worried about a random engraver damaging my machine. Any advice on what kinda of engraving to get (hand, laser, etc?) and any special instructions to give the engraver other than "don't break my shit, homie."

I use hand and machine engravers. A good trophy shop can get the job done and are pretty good at what they do.
