Day of the dead girl outline

Hey y'all here's an outline I did today can't wait to have fun and start color in a few weeks... Critiques and ideas always welcome and appreciated!!!
Oh yeah the Cranker set at 6.2 for color lines and at 6.4 for blacks. Fantasia, Starbright, SB Eleven inks...Tatsoul textured 5 liner. Took just shy of 2hrs. Back of right calf.
Also the roses look like shit because they're going to be dead and dried out. Im leaning towards background fill of blurred dead roses and petals and maybe some night sky...

Can't wait to see color! Outlines look nice and sharp. Also placement is great. Fills the calf very well.

Yeah, this is going to be a sweet piece! I'm glad you explained the rose situation, at first I was going to suggest not having espresso before you appointments.... but now that I know where you are going with them, I can totally see it and they definitely have the appearance of withered. I think that they are going to come out real sweet!

Jeff Ensminger is a neo-traditional style, but he has done quite a bit of drying out or dead roses. I get inspired from his artwork. Check him out: http://www.jeffensminger.com/tattoos/

Damn that guy is GOOD! Thanks for the awesome reference, I'm gonna study his work some more... This was my first time doing dead roses, I never see them done, and I thought it would contrast nice with a young and pretty dod girl.
