I think its kinda one of those "Can't accept no solicited material" if you own or work for a record label. People will make claims that you took the idea from them.

It's so lame how peeps act like they are inventing things when really they're just trying to be first and take credit when there's so many that are already using the same idea or already have. I came up with wrapping paper towels around my grips on my own, but others had already been doing it. Same with folded paper towel squares instead of grommets, I had no idea that it was popular with some artists when I did it, i had never seen it before, but I didn't try to delude myself into believing I was the first and invented something. Great or at least good ideas are universal and it's just a matter of time until someone comes to the same logical conclusions...
