    Wings and halo

Did this piece a few weeks ago. Its a little memorial piece for her infant son that passed away. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. Used Whip for lining and dragonfly for color.

    What do you guys think?

Seriously? It's pretty much a grade school tat. Clean enough sure but not very impressive...

nice enough but you should have used some outline or contrast (even a gray or color) around the halo, just for contrast and age sake. One good sunburn and its pretty much gone

I think this's nice, technical aspects aside, the idea is very sweet. Wings normally look stupid, as they are disconnected if on their own. Not sure is grey or another colour would have spoiled the purity of the art side of this. But the message of the tattoo is obvious, and not sad- a kind of farewell. Artistically speaking- i love it =]

Simple clean flash work-halo could have abit line etc to hold up -but hey this is what some people want a simple clean simple looking tattoo that will look nice for many years-everything does not have to 20 layers of color and shades with 5 different line weights.

Some times its about pleasing the customer and not all that artsy BS -
    Good Job!

Things I think would look better: fineline or greyline the inside feather lines, on such a small tattoo save the bold lines for outside. Darker or purple shading in the inner wing under the folds to create depth. And some tapering of the lettering linework. Shading around the halo. Maybe more white highlites. Okay I'm done now lol
