So Ive been using Sages tensioner on a Swiss stlye machine for one week now...

Not much to say about it besides FUCKING AWESOME! :-) The only comparison I can make needle tensioner wise is to the one I have on the Dragonfly and I like Sages tensioner more...

I bend my needles a lot and on almost every tattoo I use the Dragonfly on I have to readjust the needle tensioner (not sure if I caught a bad model) but the one from Sage stays perfectly in place! One little bend on the needle tensioner when I got it and now the needle is always in the middle where I want it to be. On top of that you can move it back and forth to get the position you want this is way better than the fixed position on the Dragonfly but thats just my personal opinion.

The ballbearings are so great the operation is totally smooth and the gap? between the two bearing holds the needle where its supposed to be. Not sure if they can be improved technically... Looking forward to get more in the matching color of my machines!

Sage has made a serious effort with these, I sometimes use them with just a tadge of tension plus a needlerunner- very nice, and they look good.

looks like a good use for the old needles bars i have laying around from the past 20+ years, habit of keeping the bars from all the years of them costing 25$ or more for 5 needles.

I used the tensioner I have on my Rapier II yesterday its just perfect! No ink spray whatsoever... Seems like the tensioner is doing a better job than rubber bands on the Rapier
