Thanks Sage-it's all digital..I used a tablet and an app called Artrage Studio Pro..it has some of the best paint emulation tools out there. I'm putting together a set of flash, all biomechanical like this and doing it digitally saves a ton of time and looks cool as hell. I think it's pretty tattooable if it's approached like a portrait..and there's plenty of room for the tattooer to tweak it and add their own flair.

Nice stuff indeed! Sometimes I feel I should have embraced electronic media rather than sticking to brushes. The programs these days make it easy to get fills and effects, not to take away from your skills, it always takes a skilled hand and imagination to direct the creation of art. But I do kinda like getting my hands tangibly dirty
    Looking forward to seeing more...

I agree with you there about using real media..the past couple years I've been nothing but acrylics and watercolors but for a big project like a flash set I wanted to get back to some digital painting..it's no different in Artrage that "real" painting..at least color theory wise. I don't think it's an either-or scenario with digital art-I learned to paint on the computer and it helped a ton when I went to canvas..now all that canvas is helping a ton when I got back to digital. It's all fun as fuck!

Looks awesome mate, loving the almost prehistoric crustacean look to it. Will be uploading any shots of the flash set? Would be keen for a gander.
