Stigma Bizarre V2 - Ink Flow Issue...

I'm brand new to rotaries, so this may be a general question, or it may be specific to the Bizarre V2 - I have no frame of reference. Today I used my Bizarre for the first time - for lining - and the ink flow was intermittent. I tried various combinations of slight needle bends and slightly more pressure on the needle stabilizer, but the flow was pretty iffy throughout the process. Has anyone else had this problem? I've heard about bending the needle slightly when using rotaries - is a bend necessary at all? And should the needle stabilizer be barely touching the needle bar or what? If anyone has any tips they'd be much appreciated!

Also worth noting what tip you were using with what needle - too tight a tip won't let enough ink onto the needle.
