When I moved from the Hawk to the Thunder I wasn't convinced it was any better. The startup cable didn't work all the time and I ended up having to get the Cheyenne psu.
It does make lining a little easier and quicker but that's all really.
As I mainly do black n grey I've been thinking of buying a spirit to see if that suits me a bit more like the original.

Btw I didn't think the hawk and spirit had different strokes,

The problem with Cheyenne is the tips when they first started the tips matched the needle groupings but now it's cheaper to do the same tip for a 8round as a 3 liner. Good if you use t-tech which are cheap at you get 20 tips for you money but bad if you pay just under £30 for 10, the quality has gone down hill a little since I first started to use my hawk.

Yeah i mean, They do need to lower the prices a bit for the cartridges, A little steep. I understand the quality is Great, which is awesome, but its hard to set up a tattoo when you need 3 different needles which they end up running you in the end 9-10 bucks on a smaller tattoo. thats why i ordered t tech for my set up on smaller tattoos.
