    damn bishop gone loud

Guys ive put a 4.2 on my capo and its very rattly even at 7 volts, it runs fine but sounds like its falling apart.
ive taken it apart, cleaned and re-lubed it 4 times and still no joy.
the motor runs quiet when i run it out of the frame so it must be to do with the slide? any pointers? Thanks.

My 4.2 is also a bit more noisy then my 3.5's, personally I think its because the backlash of the spring propels the slider back harder...

Check the spring, you may just need a softer one.

I second that. Remove the spring and see if that helps. Otherwise the bearing may be hitting the sides of the frame.

Removing the spring will make it loud. Probably a different kind of loud. Is the machine new or has the spring had a bit of a work out already?

The through hole on the body where the cam and bearing push thru may not be big enough for the 4.2 cam. The way you can tell is to take out the motor, then take out the slide, then put the motor back in and run it while you look closely to see if the bearing is barely hitting the sides.

If this is the case, your machine will only work with a 3.5 cam. Also let me know if you can at [email protected] and we will help you with your situation. Thank you much!

right so it seems that it was the bearing rubbing slightly on the side of the frame, ive got it rattle free now by playing with the screws that hold the motor in place, thank you guys and franco for the fast replies, means alot.
