    Brown grilla

    its not often that i do colour pieces , but the wife bought me some more pastels for xmas... i know ive opened them early but they had my name on them. Still learning how to use/blend them (think its my 4th pastel effort) but find them very enjoyable, also think i should have used some smoother paper on this on?gorilla 1.JPG

    Looks good to me! Smoother paper won't pick up the color as easy but is better for soft blends. Have you ever tried oil pastels? I like em way better.

    It was the softer blends i was after Sage, as much as i enjoyed this piece it wasnt quite what i wanted, but probably thats me being hard on myself i guess! Never tried oil pastels but given time i surely hope too along with a few other different mediums. Thanks for the input
