Whats up everybody. After much browsing this forum and many machines purchased based on all of your review I decided to make it official, so here i am. My name is Donny I learned to tattoo in prison and continued out here. I started with mostly coils because not to many people use the rotary where I'm located. I'm currently at a shop in Rohnert Park, which is 45 minutes north of San Francisco. Again none of my fellow artist have even tried rotaries. After some time of checking mine out im proud to say they are 100% sold. Yesterday was the quietest day in the shop and all artists were busy. I had my nicks rotary and all 3 of my rotary works loaned out. I was truly proud to see my machines being used and loved I myself have only been tattooing professionally for a short time still getting used to all the options. Luckily i found a shop owner who learned the same why i did and has given me an opprotunity to learn and improve my skills as a tattoo artist.

As i said i am new to the tattoo world. After a breaking in period time at the shop the owner was comfortable enough to let me do some work. I used a rotary works and a nick rotary to line.

Welcome to the forum. Not a bad tattoo. I would say that a little bolder line work on the chair and hooks would be a nice touch. Take a look at some Japanese wave tattoos and art work in general to refine those waves a bit more. A little more contrast and dont be afraid of putting a little white in there as well. and get that shading in all the hooks to look the same and your on your way to a great piece. Keep at it and you will be a good artist.

Anyway.. a little tip I learned when I did graffiti back in the days is that we almost mess up a little part here and there in a piece, so always try to cover up and hide the errors. A decent shadow can sometimes for example hide a wobbly outline.

Also try to have a light source.. exmpl. Upper right corner, drop shadow lower left.
