Great work! Are Alla Primas good colors? Never tried them but thinking ībout ordering some. How long did it take? I have noticed that bugpins get a bit dull over 2-3h.

I think it depends on what batch of Alla Prima that you get. I found mine to be very inconsistant. There is something that HealthCanada does not like about them, and certain formulations are getting banned from sale here in Canada. Something about that doesn't sit well with me, so I don't use them anymore.

Some people recommend replacing a bugpin after 3-4 hours of work as, yes, it can get dull. If I'm working on a large piece (6+ hours) I'll consider changing #12 needles as well.

Thx everyone. Um took me about 4.5 hours . I like the rapier and the hyper alot, they both have thier qualitys . I haven't ever noticed the bugpins getting dull yet. The alla prima inks I like because the tones aren't as cartoony as other inks in my opinion. California is pretty strict on what inks can be sold/used here and they allow Alla Prima , I've been useing them for awhile and never had a bad experience with them yet.
