    Shopping for a soft DD

I imagine there is a DD with a mechanically softer hit than say a RW I.D
    Any suggestions?
Something 2.5 or 3.5 for BnG

Slicks right the torch is the only DD I know of with a built in give system for a softer hit, Romans adjustable will give you the 2.5-5.5 stroke and you can use silicone grommets and a ttech set up for natural dampening. Also if you work off the needle tip and stretch less you will get more bounce for a softer effect.

not really thinking of the torch.. i want a clip cord connection for now.. and i don't use the t tech (yet)
I was just wondering what other reliable DD machines are out there that are the best for BnG .. something 2.5-3.0 that has no give, but feels like it does.. something that just runs smooth and has a lot of range, volt wise.

Direct drives are no give. Designed that way. I don't think there are any, with the exception of the torch, that have give.
Try using silicone tubing instead of your regular rubber nipples (available at hobby stores that sell rc car and helicopter parts, i believe its used for fuel lines... you just need to find the proper diameter. I am not at the shop so i can't measure now).
Aside from that, i think what you are looking for is not really a direct drive machine.

I am not looking for give, but I would guess there is a machine out the (a DD) that seems to just hit softer.. that the rotary industry uses for BnG ... something time tested with a small stroke.
With so many different drive systems and motors there has to be a favorite DD that everyone likes for BnG..
    thats what i mean

My h&m adjustable is by far the best black and grey machine I have ever used. 2.5-3mm and its as smooth as a baby's ass. Effortless.
