Do Direct Drives spatter? If so how do you combat this? It doesn't seem like it would be a real clean stroke so I'd imagine that they would. I'm liking no give for shading and blending so I'm anxious to try one.

I have owned quite a few direct drives and never had spatter, maybe try tighter rubber bands?
