Want to change the color of a machine.

I have a couple of neo's I would like to change the color on. Any builders on here willing to help me out?

Whatever wont interfere with the slide motion. Or chip like basic paint. So, whatever will hold up would be fine with me I guess.

Best would be to strip the anodising and have it re anodised. It's work a chrome shop could do or point you in the right direction.

Thats what I was thinking Owl. I've looked it up and it is work! So. if anyone on here does that sort of thing, and can add something to a batch of parts, let me know.

Why not do it yourself? You can find anodizing and plating kits pretty cheap and as you already have a power supply the initial outlay should be minimal.

Also copper is easy if that is a color you might like. I think you need about 2 volts and some copper. My understanding is that you can even use a week acid like vinegar.

When u strip anodizing you loose double the thickness of the plating in material loss.you would also need to re polish the machine out to keep the same luster.therefore the slide has a chance of becoming sloppy due to the loss of material..
