Imo the Coil Machine equivalent of Dale at Rotaryworks, is a dude called Jacob Wekenman aka http://www.facebook.com/jacob.wekenman He is an American builder, and I have watched him grow over the years. His Coils are around $150, should be $250+ imho......He winds all his own coils, and Frames (cnc'd to his design and specs) and Hardware, are sourced locally, from reputable companies and suppliers. He is still young and can turn his hand to anything.

If you want to step into total one offs,Hand-built to your specs, and keep off the mainstream Route, then look no further than these two guys, and I ain't shitting you..

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...6481&sk=photos Check out his pics, as he doesn't really advertise.....

I haven't seen anyone mention Don Colling. He builds both coils and rotos. Super solid builds. Everything is a one off and his rotos are hard to come by. And to date I don't think i've ever seen someone resell one of his spinners.

    For coils:
Bowery Stan Moskowitz is pumping out Jonesys built the old school way that Jonesy taught him.

Jay Brown is another old schooler pumping out some nice coils. Due to health issues he doesn't tattoo much anymore. He's got some great deals on coils right now because he's trying to raise money to support the Northwest Tattoo Museum he started.

Also Larry Hanks is building the coils too. He casts them himself and sells raw frames as well. He's either in AZ or HI depending on the season.

Last but not least Ben Euse, my main building mentor has been stepping up his coil game as of late (Thanks to Jay Brown). He's also tinkering with rotos, but he won't officially come out of the closet yet...

    Cheers!

Jay Brown coils are really nicely made the oldschool way. We will be carrying them in the next two or so weeks and will also be spreading the word for his museum as well. Very cool guy that really cares about the industry.
