    "Fast Thunder" airbrushed portrait.

    Airbrushed, Holbein Aeroflash Paint, 11x14. Ampersand Claybord.



    Finished this one in November. Took around 40 hours.

    The reference is from Edward S. Curtis' North American Indian project circa 1909. The photo was labeled only: "Fast Thunder Ogalala", presumably the name and tribe of the Indian. His expression is what grabbed me.
