I own quite a few Bishop Capos and have 2 that seem to be getting louder by the day , one considerably so loud it sounds like a coil, I've cleaned and lubed but to no avail., any suggestions??

send them in to get a new slides fitted and bearings checked. Also pull the motor out side of the can and run it to make sure they are ok.

Thank you Brother, Ive pulled motor and all is good outside of can and its nice and quiet, so it's probably as you say.
Another thing make sure you dont get any grease in the spring or spring hole. And when you lube put superlube grease on the slide sides and back thin and a drop of superlube oil on the frames slide channels .FKI makes a new oil for rotary that is thicker and works great on these machines to keep them quiet and running smooth. The trick is to use very little.

Yeah I had the same problem with my halo, i was over lubing it.
Very good info Brother , I will try as you say before I send back in. Thank you.
dude i had the same problem, it is due to a loose slide, if u put a rubberband around machine ull here it quiet down, there is no solution to the problem other than to send it back and even thats a crap shoot, from what i hear the need a higher tension spring to reduce the play in the slide. a temporary fix is get a rubber band and position it in between the two clips or if there isnt a gap just below and u will hear the difference . my advice is to sell it or trade for a neo tat or an impact, at least there u can get fast customer service.
** put ur finger on the needle nipple and wiggle it ull see what im talking about, that is not how its supposed to be, and as a result is what makes that irritating noise, thusly many call them rattle traps.lol

Lol, rattle traps, nice, I added more tension and guess what.. Quietness, thank you for your suggestion also.
no problem man, i just went through this with same problem,
Update on loud Bishop, Franco called and we discussed possibilities, turned out the ones that rattled were the ones with a faceplate , he is making it right, gotta give home props for taking the time out to deal with it on his own, everyone knows how busy he is as we all are. Thanks again Franco for the service.
