Here is my og hawk modded by rick at stylus. 3.8mm throw and spirit motor. Shazam. Thing runs like a beast at 7-8volts.

Its an og hawk body but the last production so it has a spirit motor.... he replaced the hawk cam and push bar with something closer to the stylus so it has somewhere in between the stylus s and h give... but a way stronger motor. It puts down bold lines with ease and saturates color fast at like 8 volts. Smooth black and grey at 7volts. Ive only used it for a few days, ill post a photo of something soon.

That's amazing asA. Do you know if he will do anymore? And do you have a contact? I could do with a transformer like that! Although I may as well just buy a stylus!

What's wrong with your thunder? Does it turn by hand? Is it frozen? I'm an electronics technician by day. This thunder motor is a motor most have never heard of. It is called a ball bearing motor I've read. Weirdest shit you've seen as far as motors go. Pretty much a vertical shaft and probably a bearing top and bottom. A couple contacts. One on the outside of a bearing the other on the shaft. It just depends on how the engineer designed it. voltage plays a role, but it's the amperage or current that actually turns the shaft. It why the special cord or PS was needed. It needs a large jump start to get it rolling. Have you made any progress?
