Neotat stroke & spring suggestion
I'm getting a Neotat Vivace. I'm not looking for a liner, just a versatile gray shade/color packer. I've also never owned a Neotat before.
I was wanting spring suggestion (red: hard, silver: regular/soft) and stroke suggestion. I was thinking of going with a 3.5 stroke with the red spring solely because it will pack color but easily gray shade really smooth. I was also thinking of the same spring but with the 4.2...but feel it might limit my gray shading flexibility.
I did own a Blitz that I loved, it was a 3.5 stroke and was very flexible...and my current Kubin mini Cranker 3.5 is very versatile too...

there are a thousand post on this issue if you search it. I can use my 3.6 vivace for anything, lining, b&g and color packing. color I run bout 8.5-9v, shading bout 9.5-10v and I line at like 11.5-12v. that's just me, there is no magic number its all just preference, hand speed, needle hang, stroke and volts that pertain to each individual artist.

get the original neotat-3.5 great price and the rca is up and way -not downlow like the vivace, which tends to get in the way.

yeah that does take some getting used to.(the placement of the rca, especially if your working on a neck. you tend to hit the customer in the face wit it, lol. I sometimes use a right angled rca adapter, helps a bit when you need it. the post on neos is:
