    virgin mary with charcoal, advice?

so i used a stick of charcoal and my finger as a brush. worked pretty good except hard to do small detail that way. anyone else use charcoal and have a better "brush" idea? the filigree on the sides is just pencil (oh and this is the print i made of my original)
