    In Progress Chiascuro study...would this work as a tattoo?

    I'm wondering whether this sort of thing would work as a tattoo? Seems to me, that it could be done, but I wonder if anyone has seen stuff like this and whether it holds up?

    I sketched this out, then scanned it into photoshop, where I'm fiddling with lighting and color dynamics, going for the chiascuro look. Opinions welcome.chiascuro in progress.jpg

    i dont know how necessary it is for the viewer to see the where the light sources are coming from.
    Really as long as your have that dramatic light to dark shift, i think itll come off as chiaroscuro.
    As it is, i'd probably just crop out the center and blow it up to really focus on the detail.
