Hi
I ve got NeoTat Vivace .Got it in trade. This is my first NeoTat ,I don't have much experience with this kind of machine. Vivace, 3,5 mm stroke. After few minutes of work, motor is getting hot. I ve lubricated it, but it didn't help. As I ve been afraid of it, I use it only for 15 mins, couple of time, trying different setups.

Anyone had that problem? Is it normal for this machine?
I used to work with Spectra Direct , edge x

Is it possibly a counterfeit?

I never use more than 9 vlts . Maybe with my thunder .. It s getting much more than warm, but not "burning" . Machine looks like this. On the motor it is engraved "made in china" ,and some small numbers. As I said, this is my first Neo Tat, red spring installed.

I have 2 neotats that are getting hot , they never used to but over time they have been getting hot , my original mailbox neotat gets extremely hot to a point I have to put it down as it burns my hand. tried them on diferent power supplies but still getting hot , nothing to do with running them too high I run between 9-10.5v as I've always had

I find the trick with the neos is minimal lube, if you use to much of the thick lube I think it causes to much resistance between the slide and the rail and over works the machine. Also where the cam sits in the back of the slide make sure there's not a lot of lube there either.

I use A 4.2mm Vivace with the magic motor and I run it between 6 volts and 7.4 volts depending on mag size. I use 9 - 25 mags with disposable tubes. and its never heated up. I'd contact the company and ask about it.

take out the motor and slide, clean all good with alcool,to remove all the grease and dirty if have inside the slide, DON'T PUT GREASE ANYMORE, is bullshit, only reduce the loud but don't make machine run better, buy a simple SINGER OIL or the Sinthetic oil for the electric razor, and put some drop around the slide, thas0 all
and very important when u put back the motor, the small screw grab the motor don't have to screw tight, just close to the motor and little bit more, don't force

I have used neotats since 08. I push all of my machines hard, so they get hot on almost every tattoo. I wrap them in sensi wrap. My fist neo tat is still running strong... As had as I push them, they never burn out. 10-13 is my normal voltage... I only go below 10 for super soft shading.
