hi!
my name is oliver and i am a tattoo artist from germany. the shop i'm working at is called "kunstbunker tattookollektiv" in worms.
i am 33 years old and i started tattooing in 2007. as nearly every professional tattoo artist i made a lot of other art related stuff like graffiti before i started tattooing.
i used to make a lot of realistic black & gray stuff, mainly because the most clients in the area i live in want this style. and because it comes some kind of easy to me. but my true love is traditional oldschool stuff. the more simple and naive, the better... it kicks me much more to reduce a motive to the minimum than copying a photography in every detail. don't get me wrong... i still love realistic stuff and have a lot of respect for every artist who is doing this style, but to create minimalistic stuff is much more fun for me :)
but at least i am an allrounder. the client gets what he wants. he pays me for that and the most important thing is, that HE is happy with the result :) so i still enjoy making tribals from time to time.
i started to switch to rotaries 2-3 years ago and today i mainly work with the swashdrive gen 6. i also use new-generation machines, bishop and last week i got a rotary works which is a really good machine! currently i am waiting for a dickie golden rotary i bought last week. can't wait to work with it. it seems to be a really good and solide machine.
