I need some help. I've always used coils and I have just bought a bishop. . As with coils you just push down a-bar to see how much needle depth, but with the rotary I can't do that , i have to run it and have look then adjust if not right. Sometime it takes me a while to get the right depth. Is there any tricks to setting needle depth or is that how it's done?
thanks
mick

I run my machines to check the depth. after you do it that way 100 times, you will get use to it.

what i do is slightly tighten the vice that way ur tube is secure and wont move when u run the machine, but you will still be able to adjust ur tube up or down if ur dont tighten it all the way

I check it by holding it up to a florescent light, it makes it much easier to see the needle... at least it does for me!

If all else fails you could switch to cartridges and get one of the click to adjust depth Hawk tubes :p
