Okie Dokie!

After the overwhelming response, and many a kind word I received for the Gentleman's Rotary MKI (http://www.rotarytattoo.com/showthread.php/9022-A-Gentlemans-Rotary?highlight=gentlemans) I made another. This one is on reserve for another forum member - a very patient stand up guy - but might just pop up in the classifieds if/when he gets a sneaky look at the MKIII! ;)

Anywho... on with the show

The Particulars
Australian Truffle wood (very very rare indeed) frame and inlays
Brass spine and motor casing
Double locking vice (an absolute bitch to machine, but really very simple - it has an internal profiled 'slide'; left knob adjusts depth of travel, right knob clamps it down)

A bit tasty (again, not one to blow my own trumpet:o)

Behold (again)!!!

I can't choose if this Machine is Engineered Art, or the Artistic Engineering...Fuk it, it is beautiful, and will run as sweet as a sweet nut, covered in maple syrup then dipped in Icing Sugar...

I must say this is the prettiest designed machine after Aaron Cains biomechanical damascus machine that costs $1800. Excellent work!!!
How long is the stroke on this one?

Thanks again chaps, for all of your input. To be likened to an Aaron Cain is just unbelievable!

This one is quite a short stroke, around 2.5mm I think (but don't quote me on that... I made about half a dozen cams trying to decide on the nicest one and can't remember which one i ended up going with)

I know your avatar says direct drive, and its pry a stupid question, but do you make/ or ever plan to make any other style rotary, linear, swash, spring, etc.? just wondering because I love the way you do your machines, especially the way you do the vices, but I don't really feel dd machines so much and would love to have a one off from you in a different style maybe. your machines, are unique and beautiful, thanks.

I've only just noticed the thread updates - Thanks Guys!! :)

No plans on making any strictly armature/slide machines as such cagelavey... But I am working on (amongst a million and one things) an armature type, slide kinda DD (thats fully adjustable no less!!)

Maybe be it'll make it off the bench... maybe it won't - I'm currently working on fulfilling promises of a few more of these one-offs, and there's so little time and SO much to do
