So what is this swivel bar? I'm not comprehending. I can't get a mental image, can some one please explaine? Does this offer some give?

Look at the very first post cage. It's in the picture. I assume the bar is to minimize side movement.

still don't understand its function, lol, (on my computer the picture was cut off had to enlarge to see the snap on part, lol. I got it now)

I assume it's here to make a linear motion like on old trains wheels. And it could had a bit of give. I'd take the no give I love so much the "direc/kt" feedback from the needle on the skin. Great job guys !!
