amazing oil painting, u killed it !!

id have to disagree with crabink 100% and say this thing is near perfect. if he did a different color background it would destroy the balance of this painting. in this type of art, picking a background color comes from the colors used on the subject. usually its a midtone from the shadows casted on the subject. or a neutral color mixed from the colors u painted the subject with. the old masters and many amazing modern realism oil painters do this.read up on color balance and unity and also color gamuts. limiting ur color palate does wonders.

as far as tattoos go we throw some of these rules out the window so we can make things "pop" or stand the test of time better.
